Privacy policy
Lamplight is a personal planner built and run by Adrian Vela. This page explains what it stores and why. There are no ads, and your planner data is never sold or shared.
Without an account
Everything you add (events, tasks, courses, notes, dashboards) is saved only in your browser on this device, using its built-in storage. Nothing is sent to a server.
With an account
If you create an account to sync between devices, the server stores:
- Your email address, used to sign in.
- Your password, stored only as a salted scrypt hash. The password itself is never saved.
- A copy of your planner data, so your devices can stay in sync.
- A private calendar feed link, so calendar apps can subscribe to your schedule.
This data is stored with Vercel (Vercel Blob storage), which hosts the app. If you subscribe to an outside calendar URL, the server fetches that URL on your behalf and does not keep a copy beyond your synced data.
Cookies and analytics
Lamplight does not set tracking cookies. Your sign-in token and settings are kept in your browser's local storage because the app needs them to work.
If you choose Allow on the analytics prompt, Lamplight loads Vercel Web Analytics, which counts anonymous page views without cookies and without identifying you. If you choose No thanks, it is never loaded. You can change this any time in Settings.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings, then Account & sync, then Delete account. This removes your account, synced data and feed link from the server right away. To remove data from a device, clear the site's data in your browser.
